Pictures

i am by no means a pro when it comes to taking pictures of food (in fact, i'm not even sure why i felt the need to tell you that when you can clearly see for yourself)
most of the time i'm shooting late at night, in my cramped kitchen that glows with the most awful orange lighting.

custom white balance is thrown out the window & the ISO gets cranked up to unspeakable levels.

if i'm lucky enough to get pictures during the day i'm usually found standing on my deck, plate in one hand & camera in the other, desperatly trying to get a decent picture before the flies alight or the chickens come to investigate.

glamorous, i know.

but i work with what i've got- and i promise my food tastes better than it sometimes looks.

Gear:
Nikon D90
Nikon 35mm f/1.8
Nikon 100mm f/2.8
Speedlight SB600 (which i never use thanks to cathedral ceilings)

Lusting after:
new lenses (in other words, a limitless budget to purchase said lenses)
a bigger kitchen
daytime baking/cooking
a momentary break from 2 screaming children
the ability to eat anything i want without consequence
